Jean Garland became the librarian at Bartlett Public Library in 1953 and has been there ever since. While working as librarian she also managed to raise a family of five and earn her Bachelor's Degree in Library Science in 1986. She continues to learn and grow and is eager to help everyone. The LOGO on the left was developed in 1990 when Jean helped research Bartlett History for the book Bartlett in the Valley of the Saco. It has remained the Library's special LOGO since that time.

Due to space restraints, both inside and outside the building, the Trustees are moving in the direction of planning and constructing its own building. This concept is very exciting, as it will be a first for Bartlett, and any and all help or suggestions concerning this project are most welcome. Community support is instrumental to the success of this endeavor.
The Friends of the Library work to implement new programs and fund special events.
