THE RUTHLESS TIDE by Al Roker – Zoom Book Discussion 2/9/21 at 7:00

Julia King will lead us in a Zoom discussion of this gripping history celebrating the remarkable heroes of the Johnstown Flood-the deadliest flood in US history-from NBC host and legendary weather authority Al Roker.  This book will excite all book-lovers, it’s a narrative non-fiction that will capture your imagination and read like a nail-biting thriller by following an unforgettable cast of characters whose fates converged because of that tragic day.

Copies of the book are available in the library.

Please reach out by phone, 374-2755 or e-mail, if you are interested in joining and we will provide the Zoom link.

We are here to help!

White Birch Books Wish List

Some folks may not know that we have teamed up with White Birch Books to benefit the local business and our collection.  We have a wish list posted on the White Birch Books website (link below) which will allow patrons/friends of the library to purchase an item, read it and then donate it to the library, or just purchase it for donation.  We do ask that if you make this purchase you let us know by phone or e-mail so that we do not duplicate the item.  Thanks for your support!

JACKSON SKI TOURING Library Pass

IT’S A GREAT WINTER TO GET OUT AND SKI!

The Friends of the Library have generously purchased a library pass for Jackson Ski Touring again this year.  The pass is good for one day of skiing for one individual, think of it as a 2 for 1 if you have a friend you are hoping to ski with or go solo.  E-mail the library, with the date you would like to request the pass and if it is available on that date you can take your return e-mail from the library directly to the ticket counter to pick up your day pass.  If you have never had the opportunity to try nordic skiing give it a glide!
